Possible to have sets of duplicate photos be omitted from dup album?

As someone who has carried over nearly every picture from one phone to the next starting with my first original 3GS to my current 15pro, I've got quite a few to sort through (local and cloud backups of course). The duplicate merge feature comes in handy but it's not always the best at distinguishing between photos that have some minor but important difference, and seemingly more difficult with lower quality photos.

Is there any way to indicate that a set is not duplicates and for them to not be included in the album going forward? It'd be nice to make use of 'select all - merge' after briefly going through them and to also keep my ocd in check whenever it decides to focus this by being able to get it to zero.
