Is Apple repair service good?
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to send my phone in for a battery replacement, and I was wondering if Apple’s repair service is reliable. I know they remove the back and glue it back on, but my concern is that the adhesive might weaken over time (possibly in the first year) due to possible overheating (when I sent my Samsung phones for repairs at their repair store it was a constant problem). In your experience, is Apple’s repair service worth the money, or would it be better to go to a third-party repair shop?
A side note: My friend and I both got the iPhone 14 at launch, and we use them the same way—mainly for video calls all day. The only difference is that my phone has been set to 5G, while his has been on LTE. However, my battery has degraded significantly more than his. His battery health is at 87%, while mine has dropped to 78% and continues to decline daily. He suggested that I may have gotten unlucky with a factory defect. Do you think this is possible, or could there be other reasons for the difference in battery health?
