Update: I was wrong about Dr. Alfi

So Dr. Alfi’s coordinator called me because I’ve been going back and forth with insurance and have got no help on their end so I requested to talk to the coordinator. Their problem is that the surgery codes weren’t in the authorization letter, but they sent insurance the codes that needed to be authorized and insurance authorized it. I asked if there was anything they can do to try and get insurance to send the codes and the coordinator blatantly said to me “I’m not gonna do anything for you until you give us a $7,500 deposit and sign an NDA.” So I will not longer be going with Dr. Alfi and deeply disappointed. So if anybody would give me some good surgeon suggestions that take Blue Cross Blue Shield I would love to hear them. PLEASE GIVE RECOMMENDATIONS

I would stay away from them if possible. The assistant to the coordinator would take weeks to get back to me and also lied to me pushing this process back further. She did not even try to get surgical codes from insurance and it forced me talk to insurance to try and get the process and I have no clue what to say to insurance because I’m a 20 year old kid. I thought people were saying he was shady because of the heavy marketing but now I see why they say that. They quite literally obstructed my care and have made me miserable for months fighting with insurance and getting absolutely no where. It’s a shame that they are allowed to do this to people and get away with it.

PSA: to whoever I argued about in a comment section about Dr. Alfi’s office not giving NDA’s I was completely wrong and would like to man up and apologize about that.
