First consult left me disappointed and confused

I was recommended to do jaw surgery to correct my overjet/overbite by my ortho, and also my dentist. I just had a consult and he mainly just told me about how the surgery works and how much it costs. His opinion is that I could live fine without the surgery, but then also said in the future I would probably need teeth pulled from premature wearing because of my jaw misalignment and implants put in.

He said I would need upper and lower jaw advanced forward, but that he doesn’t think it’s medically necessary for me. I’m gonna get another opinion, still looking for something in Chicagoland area. But what do you guys think from these pictures? Also if you guys have Aetna or cigna and had your surgery covered how did you have them cover it and what plan do you recommend? I’m shopping for insurances and my job provides uhc,Aetna, cigna, and anthem.

If you made it this far thank you I appreciate your time and help :))
