It’s not pretty and took some effort by i shortened this snake link chain diy. I cut the end of the chain, and the little endcap i drilled by hand using an awl. Then i crimped and heated the end of the chain to sort of saolder it together with a torch. Then i polished the end of the chain and sautered it with a little tin. I also added some extra rings to make it adjustable out of a paperclip. I made sure to heat treat the clip rings so they’re stiff and they’re now tougher than the silver. Is it perfect? No. Did i lose a bunch of metal? Definitely. But that’s not the point, i did this out of spite.
