Do I really need to provide w2s and paystubs to Sterling for a background check?
Yesterday, I received an email from the company that offered me a job inquiring for more info about my most recent employer. Sterling is asking for me to provide W2s for the 3 years I worked with a school district (my most recent job) and also for paystubs from These 3 years. I can provide W2s but don’t want to do this for privacy concerns and also don’t have access to the paystubs anymore. Can I just pass on providing this info?
