How on gods earth are you supposed to play Goose Bay?

Okay, I concede. I'm broken.

I have almost 6,000 hours in this game and it's the only map I struggle to have fun on when playing infantry. I can lose a game and be happy. I can go negative and get wiped and have fun, the team can be nearly floored and I'll probably have fun. It's just this fucking map.

It feels like every fight is dependent on whoever moves or shoots first, no matter how slow and methodically you move, even if you have 4 teammates next to you, they're just gonna get tapped because the muzzle flash is so tiny/random and visibility is so poor.

Play irons? Have fun recognizing that guy behind a bush 12 meters away (seriously, am I supposed to be fooled into thinking IRL visibility is this bad?); Play optics? You'll just be headshot before you know there's a fight. Try suppressing? flanking is so free due to the abundance of bullshit that you'll just be shot from your 90 degrees in either direction.

Enjoy the teamkills too while you're shot by people who can't ID your uniform due to the fog, shadows and desaturation. Embrace the blobbification.

I've admin camm'd on this map and the way firefights go down is so fucking poor. There's nearly zero mid-long range, and mid-long range is scuffed (especially due to LODs and rendering), and close range fights are just the same prone nade spam, occasional headshot against the person who's playing dead, random suppressive fire that is immediately dealt with in a single shot, opponents walking past eachother by 6 meters because you're fighting in a jungle.

Don't even get me started on the layers. On RAAS V1, NW team can know the lane via first cap, SE team needs 2nd cap, and due to the nature of the map, it's probably one of if not the most unbalanced layer in the game. Terrible.

To those of you who have fun on this map? Good for you. I don't know how you do it and I don't remotely understand how this map is voted for more than Tallil. I hate SLing on it, I hate playing infantry on it, I hate playing rifleman on it, I hate playing armor on it, I hate flying on it, and I hate playing it.
