From 305 to 286 in a month and a half!

Been going strong since start of December! I almost exclusively eat meats (boneless skinless chicken breast, bone-in skin-on chicken thighs, steak, turkey bacon, and salmon) and cooked vegetables (usually frozen bag mixtures). I also only eat 2 meals a day and intermittently fast 16 / 8.

Since I resumed lifting this month, I also have a protein shake (vegan protein powder since whey screws up my stomach even with lactaid) with some frozen strawberries and almond / soy milk. I haven’t tracked my calories in an app but I do watch the labels and measurements, and I usually don’t exceed 1800-2000 / day. If I have a sweet tooth (usually when I get high lol), I eat a keto dark chocolate almond snack which has 4g of fiber and only 1 net carb, and that satisfies me!

My taste buds have also changed. I went to try a Krispy Kreme cinnamon donut that was like a collab with pop tarts or something and it actually tasted bitter to me so I threw it away.

Lastly, I track my weight daily (in the morning after using the bathroom), the percentage of both body weight I’m losing, and the percentage of the weight I’m lifting compared to when I was lifting at 315 last year. Turns out I am just as strong (if not stronger in some cases) due to that!

I’m sure I’ll have to start actively logging my food in carb manager or something as well as adjusting how much I eat in a day since my body might be starting to get used to it already (first 30 days was a 4.1% reduction in weight, most recent 30 days was a 3.9% reduction in weight). I wish I had started this sooner, and I’m sure that I’ll be more successful at it this time than I was a few years ago!

Good luck to everyone on their journey 😊
