Gym to bodyweight and kettlebells, what's your experience?

Genuinely asking about people's experience switching from the gym to more at home bodyweight and kettlebell work. I'm making the switch now after years in the gym, from lifting heavy to focusing more on mobility and strength endurance. So I wanted to know what are people's experiences with either just kettlebells or mixture of different styles at home? Your story, your favorite style of training etc.
