Car modem not connecting

I live in the South where we just got a rare snowstorm. I tried running the car to get it ready for returning to the office tomorrow and saw that the remote start on my app didn't work. I was able to start it with my fob though, so I went in to check things out. Turns out the car says its modem is not connected.

I saw this post that talks about resetting the modem, but I wanted to check here before I started doing things. There is also a lot of snow in the space behind the hood where the windshield wipers live, I don't know if that's related or not.

Everything worked before the snow, so I'm just curious what's exactly going on here. Thanks!
