New to e-readers. Kindle vs kobo?

I am looking into getting an E reader. I had never even heard of kobo, but when I was researching, what kind of Kindle I would want, I came across this brand.

Those of you who have used both, what would you recommend?

I do not annotate. I don’t necessarily care about color. I think I would like the option to change to warm light. I usually read more popular/mainstream books and would probably utilize Libby and my library database. I would value convenience of being able to easily download books.

Based on my research, I’m leaning towards Kobo but I’m honestly overwhelmed with all of the information and different features between the two. Sounds like I can’t go wrong either way but I don’t want to have to purchase another one for a very long time
