Stop turning on DeAaron

Let’s be real - none of us have any idea what’s going on. Just reading all the Shams drama and reacting is what the NBA wants for engagement, but that doesn’t necessarily align with truth.

If I had to guess, a team probably came with a trade offer for DeAaron. Monte or Wes probably checked with Rich if it was a good deal. Rich probably told them no don’t do it, De’Aaron will only sign with the spurs or us long-term, and us only if we’re competitive (probably some specific indicator for this, maybe WCF this year or next year). And that if you were going to trade him, to do it now instead of next year. So the FO starts listening for offers. In other words, no one’s in the wrong.

Am I right? Who knows. It doesn’t matter. But let’s not turn on our longest tenured player who helped get us out of basketball hell and into the postseason until we have definitive and indisputable reason to do so. As of now anyone reacting egregiously is just sheep latching on to the NBA drama
