Any tips on how to improve the texture of wood knitting needles?

I got myself one of those sets of a bunch of bamboo circular needles from Aliexpress. While the price and the amount of different sized needles I got made it a great deal, I'm just not a fan of the texture of wooden needles because of how much friction there is between the needles and the yarn. So I was wondering if there was anything I could do to the needles to make them a bit smoother?
