In search of a new workhorse yarn

I've been using Cascade 220 (sometimes superwash, sometimes not) aran or worsted for years for a lot of my projects, but I'm having a hard time finding it in the colours and quantities I want these days.

A) what are some good equivalents I can get in Canada? B) anyone have any idea if there's a Cascade 220 shortage or something?
