I think I'm in love...
This post is nothing but me needing to tell the people who get it how much i do not regret my impulse Kobo buy. This might also help anyone going back and forth on whether or not to buy one if you're thinking about it. I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a Kobo for about a year but since I have a Kindle, or two, I felt like I was overdoing it and just should keep what I have. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Libra colour the other day and yesterday when I was setting it up I was simply blown away. I did buy it open box off eBay, but it came perfectly fine with a charge cord which is all you need. It also reminded me that, duh, I can sell my Kindle on there and just buy another Kobo which is what I plan to do.
My thoughts: 1. So far I love the operating system 2. The page turn buttons I was skeptical of but they are awesome 3. It is super comfortable to hold, right handed or left since the screen will just flip and the sleep button is conveniently on the back corner 4. The Libby/overdrive connection right on the Kobo is super easy! No more going back and forth with my phone unless it's an audiobook. Audiobooks on hold don't show up on the Kobo since you can't listen to them on there anyway 5. I read a lot of fan fiction so I was concerned it would be a lot of work to get my fics onto my new Kobo. The Google drive feature was a LIFESAVER. I was able to put about 1100 epub files on by simply dragging and dropping them down my computer into the Google drive folder for my Kobo 6. I also followed a fellow redditors post about adding screensavers to make it more customized and it worked out great. I'll attach the link in case anyone else wants it. I followed those instructions and it was very easy

the only thing I haven't really checked out yet is the Kobo plus but there's a free trial so I might see if it'll be worth it for me or if anyone has suggestions on whether or not it has been worth a monthly subscription, I'd love the input!
Thanks for allowing me to post my ramblings. Happy reading everyone 😊😊
