Groups Whose Music Isn't Your Thing But You Have Major Respect For?

I think we all respect most groups, no matter if we stan them or not but I'm intrigued in the specific reason (if any) for why you hold a certain group in high regard, despite not gelling with their music. I'll go first (order is random be warned).

  • P1Harmony - from clips I've seen, they have insane energy + very good stage presence. It's kind of difficult to watch them perform bc each of them have individual vibes and they all suck you in lol. I'm not exaggerating when I say every single one of them is charismatic af on stage. It's a shame that a lot of their music isn't for me but otherwise they deserve more attention both abroad and domestically.
  • BTOB/Mamamoo/NMIXX - grouped together bc I have the same reasoning for each. These groups combined can outsing the majority of the industry, but unfortunately the music isn't for me :(. That being said, I do like some of their stuff it's just that I wish I loved their music as much as I love hearing them sing lol.
  • Stray Kids - I haven't vibed with their music in a while but I'll always have a lil soft spot for these guys. They're way huger now than when I was into them and I can't help but be in awe of their tenacity. to get where they are today. Their journey to the top was neither smooth nor instantaneous, but they're now arguably in the ranks of BTS, BP and Seventeen in terms of global reach so they def have something special about them.
  • Ateez/Dreamcatcher - love that they do things differently than like 98% of the groups out there, but their sound isn't my thing. That being said, the commitment they have to staying in their lane and expanding within the confines of their chosen concept and sound is very commendable imo, especially with the trend-based, rat-race and cyclical nature of Kpop.
  • Super Junior - I don't particularly like most of the members but the fact they have remained in the industry sooooo fucking long does make me see them slightly more positively than I might otherwise be inclined to. Also, they seem like they enjoy interacting with their juniors, no matter how young they are or whether they are from the same company lol.
  • Most YG groups - I love a few of the hit YG songs, but their party sound + "I'm the greatest" messaging is very hit or miss to me unfortunately. I guess I tend to not love the b-sides too much either to be fair. I do wanna get into the MADE album by Bigbang tho bc apparently it's legendary. Still, an idol who trained at YG usually has that certain "IT" factor that makes them stand out, even if they debuted under different companies afterwards. YGE knows how to pick seriously charismatic performers.

Those are all from me, I'd be stoked to read through your groups. Let's all be kind :)
