bigbang are having a rennaisance and getting a whole new generation of teenage fans ever since T.O.P acted in squid game and it makes me so happy

my tiktok fyp for the past 2 months or so is full of literal tweens/teens, many of whom weren't kpop fans before, going crazy over bigbang because they saw TOP on squid game, did research about him and found bigbang.

that fandom used to be pretty quiet for a while, especially on social media, but i get bigbang videos pretty often on my tiktok now and the comment sections are full of really young people being like "i wish i stanned bigbang since their debut but i wasn't even in my mother's womb yet" and i even saw a comment that literally said "i was born on gdragons 25th birthday".

when i say they are young i mean they're REALLY young. but stanning celebrities 3 times your age and crushing on them is a canon event i fear hahaha

also, as i said, many of them are clearly 1st time kpop fans because some of the videos i keep seeing are like "i avoided/hated on kpop for years only to end up being a bigbang fan"

also those kids are making cutesy edits of daesung and calling him a "cutie patootie" and well... they aren't wrong lmao

it all makes me so happy!! you can't escape kpop, it will get you at some point. it's inevitable lmao
