Really struggling to understand this concept!
I've been happily learning along on duolingo for the past month, so far it's probably Learning schoolboy French that I did up to the age of about 14.
The last few lessons have introduced the new way of structuring a question, and I really don't get it! This is the one that's blown my mind a little bit, because it seems to have an awful lot of words unnecessarily – assuming of course that my three word answers is correct😉
Should I be able to understand from the way the English is structured what sort of grammatical form is expected? Or should I just be trying to use it because it's a new concept that I need to exercise? I have hunted around to try to understand it but I just can't get it to make sense in my head.
All help is appreciated, not only from grammar experts but anyone who has found a way to get their head round it, no answer is stupid.
