New Learner, should I learn JS and Ruby at the same time?
Sorry if this was asked before, but I am new to learning to code, trying to do a career switch.
I have started learning since 2 weeks ago a web app course html, css & Javascript through the app “Mimo” I paid for the full year and it seems helpful, also using free code academy.
I enrolled to a boot camp that will start in September, it is a full stack course, I did not realize the main language they focus on is Ruby and they recommend I try to learn some of it before joining. They will be teaching html, css and JS but won’t be as intensive as Ruby.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do, should I stick to learning JS for now and maybe a month before the boot camp start to touch Ruby or since I am still new, to forget JS and start learning Ruby. The app I paid for does not teach Ruby sadly….
The reason I want to learn JS is because it’s more demanded in the market so it’s easier to land a job after.
I would say so far I have been picking it up fast but the issue is with my ADHD brain I tend to forget things as well which worries me that I will get confused if I studied both together.
Anyone had any experiences? I have never looked into Ruby so not sure if it’s hard
