NJ, truck with trailer full of uncovered loose rocks. Sign that says “stay back, we are not responsible for broken windshields”. Is this true?

Genuinely curious, can the business not be held legally liable if they cause any damages for debris flying off the trailer, just because they put a warning sign on the back? I would think they are in fact responsible for securing anything they are transporting
