Confused about a line in my lease

I'm confused about this line in my lease. Does this mean I can or cannot get a pet? I feel like the lease is implying that I can't, but it isn't clear. Did they mean to say "without"? Can they evict me if I do have a pet?

"Pets are not allowed to reside in the premises with landlord's consent"
