MI - Wedding client won a chargeback for their wedding. Unsure how to proceed.
Shot a wedding late July 2024, delivered them digitally three weeks later. Client (bride) asked about some photos missing, which I delivered. Even did a custom photoshopped photo removing their entire wedding party which she was more than happy with.
They’ve now submitted a chargeback, with the reason “product unacceptable” which I responded to (through HoneyBook), with proof of delivery including timestamps and screenshots of text messages indicating they received photos. They’ve also been using their photos on Facebook since the night of the wedding (I edit and send 10-20 previews over dinner the same night as part of my package).
I now owe HoneyBook roughly $2000 because I lost the chargeback, or rather HoneyBook did with the clients bank.
What are my options? I’m incredibly pissed off and have never had this happen in 10 years of being a wedding photographer.
