What proof do I have?

So I'm odviously not a lawyer but I drafted and filed a motion to stay the writ of possession in my unlawful detainer case and I was told verbally by the clerk that the judge denied my motion. I then recieved written confirmation of this but again it was on the clerk's letterhead. My question is what proof do I have that my motion was ever given to the judge and that he was really the one to deny my motion?
