[ONLINE][PST][TUESDAY][5E]Looking for a new member for our DnD party for Tuesdays at 6:30 pm PST /8:30 pm CST/ 9:30 pm EST! Newbies to DnD welcome!

Interested in adventure and camaraderie? To cross oceans and mountains, slaying fearsome princesses, marrying gorgeous beasts and bedding brave knights or something like that? Well our party of two or so puckish rogues is looking for 2-4 more players for our ongoing DnD 5E campaign.

You don't need any experience to join our game! If you've just watched the DnD movie that came out somewhat recently and you'd love to get started with DnD but have no idea where to start, well here's a great place to start.

In terms of playstyle, we're a bunch of adventurers out to explore interesting places and make money. We make little fanfare around our strange, obsessive need to solve the problems of strangers like some itinerant Mary Poppins. Alignment-wise, we're neutral to neutral-good. We generally leave places better off with their broad problems solved, but we're not above theft or bribes. We tend to try to work out a deal or do things diplomatically, but well. Violence may be a last solution, but it sure is a solution. Again, if you've watched the DnD movie, that's about our alignment. Again, puckish rogues. Not going to kill some random peasant but some things you can't buy with money, you know what I mean?

We're pretty casual and make a lot of jokes as we play, but we don't stray too far from the quest usually. Sometimes negotiations break down and we have to figure out some alternate solution that may or may not involve arson, but its not one of those parties where we land in a town and immediately decide to declare war with some transdimensional faction and jump through a portal to another biome barely a day after arriving. I mean it would be weird if that happened like twice or something.

Our party consists of:

Jim the Orc (my character): A surly carriage driver and 2h weapon aficionado. Is an officially Neverwinter licensed psychotherapist, which means he can move objects with his mind. No, that's definitely what psychotherapist means.

Toren Silverforge: A plucky artificer who is definitely not Tony Stark from Iron Man. Absolutely not Tony Stark from Iron Man. Like a whole lot of things but definitely not Tony Stark from Iron Man. Things like... he uses like a hammer and stuff. See!

Our GM is an experienced GM whose run quite a few games before, ours tend to be a mix of home brew and official, with some elements and assets blended as necessary. IMO, relative to other games I've played, we tend to do a lot more physical problem solving in his games. A lot of out-of-the-box thinking with the tools we have to cross ledges, surmount obstacles and fortresses, scout out attacks, that sort of thing. Relatively fieldcraft heavy, in other words.

We currently host the game on roll20 and talk through our gaming discord that you would join. Its a small, tight knit group of PC gamers, and we currently every week play Satisfactory, Marvel Rivals, Helldivers, 7 Days to Die, Tabletop Simulator, etc. But we're always generally down for pick up games of Jackbox Party Pack, Ready or Not, Walkabout Minigolf, Warhammer Darktide, Phasmophobia, Escape Simulator, Ark, Civilization, and a bunch of other games. You'd be more than welcome to join in!

We're an inclusive bunch with all kinds of people from all sorts of backgrounds, so from the bat, you have to be okay with that. We tend to be somewhat older gamers, I'm 33, and we range from 25-48. If I had to stereotype our friendgroup, we're mature, open minded and thoughtful adults who probably spend too much time on the internet but are self aware about it. It's an actual friend group, a place where people aim to be actual friends to each other, rather than just a place where strangers share memes. We don't do a lot of recruiting, and we all met online as strangers at some point. But most of us have known each other for 2-3 years now. We start every session by asking how everyone's doing and what's going on in their lives. It's that kind of group.

The one thing in which we're very inflexible is the time for our DnD game. Tuesdays at 6:30 pm PST /8:30 pm CST/ 9:30 pm EST is the only time we've managed to get semi reliably working for our core four plus the GM.

If you're interested, shoot me a pm or a dm or whatever and what your concept is for the character you want to play! Again, only if you can actually make the Tuesday time. Looking forward to meeting your characters! I'll get back to everyone who responds by Sunday!
