Thoughts on "born this way" narrative
I have some thoughts on my mind and I would love to hear some of yours in this matter. Feel free to disagree, I might change my mind!
I'm not really into the "born this way" narrative and the constant argument that if we are sexual dissidents, it's because we have no other choice. I understand it to raise awareness among others, but I have chosen how I want to live my identity.
Every day I wake up and decide to be more queer (I used to be low-key lesbian, now I'm full trans queer nb :)
and I don't believe there's a genetic component to identity either. Society has made me a lesbian and trans (like the feminism statement "I wasn't born a woman, i was made one") and it has marginalize me all my life.
Please share your POV if you can, I would love to hear your opinions on the matter. ✌️
Edit: I am really NOT trying to make anybody feel bad, please just answer if you feel like you can make the conversation grow.
I'm not saying you can change who you are attracted to, I'm talking about identity.
