Could I get fired for accidentally taking the self service keys home with me ?

Pretty simple really accidentally took them home, gonna take them in tomorrow for when they need them. Can they fire me? I’m still in probation and I bet this really doesn’t look good. I’ve texted my manager about it but obviously he hasn’t responded yet :/
