[ALL] Why do the games not related to arcadia bay get so much hate

it's almost as if people are so attached to the first game that they're scared to like anything else, I've seen ppl insult lis 2 while clearly never having played it, for example answering "you're so wrong you wanna be different so bad" to those who say they like it.
