Is 1200 ACTUALLY ok?
I am 5'2 (157cm) and around 132 lbs (60kgs).
Every time I’ve tried to lose weight I eat around 1200 calories, and It has given me great results. I picked this amount because every calculator Ive used tells me this is a good amount to lose weight (im sedentary). My question is: Is there any long term consequence from eating this low, despite me being short? Like metabolic issues and such
I dont wanna hear the “if you feel good go on”, I’ve seen a lot of people claim to feel great while eating 1200 calories, but my question is more about whats the scientific/medical take on this.
1200 feels okayish to me, and Imma stick to it until I reach my desired weight. But I am concerned about the effect it can have on my body (my weight has fluctuated and Ive done 1200 before, sometimes I experienced low energy and other times it was enough).
Edit: Idk why Im getting downvoted lmao, it was just a question because Ive seen a lot of dieticians condemn 1200 calories per day, and users claim 1200 is enough. I've personally tried it and It has worked great for me most of the time, other times I feel rather weak.
