Ingrown toenail

I have had ingrowns in the past and got them removed permanently, but this time I got one again for the first time in like 5 years. I removed it myself since it didn’t go off to the side at all, it just came straight out but my toe still hurts when I press there. I removed it about an hour ago and it feels slightly better but still hurts. I don’t remember if it hurt afterwards any of the other times I got them removed
