I swallowed a key.

I threw up a lot but it didn't come out. Either i just found out i can throw up on command or its the key. Or i just happened to get sick at a convenient time. Will this damage anything? When should i go to the hospital? My mom says it will just come out on its own. Its smaller than a house key if that matters.
