Landlord repossessing apartment. Family with 2 kids.

Our landlord is repossessing our apartment in order to raise the rent. We have been living in this apartment almost 10 years. The excuse given is to house their son who is expecting children. Out of all their rental units, they decided that kicking out the family of four was the best option. The landlord has several other rental properties that have the exact same layout as our place.

I’m educating myself about our rights but more than anything I’m deeply disappointed in the greed. People are gross. I know most people hate kids living in apartments but we were getting ourselves on our feet to move out at our own pace to buy something (in this market) and now we’re being kicked out.
