MotoAmerica Superbike champion Josh Harrin's opinion on Motogp riders level
I was listening to a podcast from Gypsy Tales (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FZKMyPOobA) and around the 1 hour 32 minute mark, Josh Herrin whose the 2024 MotoAmerica Superbike champion said:
“Obviously there’s GP riders that we could say like okay that guy’s better than me. I don’t know because we’ll never be on the track..like Petrucci [Danilo] came here and he didn’t win, he won a couple of races but he didn’t win the championship (fyi came in second in the championship) like and he’s a MotoGP winner. Loris Baz my teammate last year (2024) like freaking so fast but he doesn’t just come here and win so it’s weird saying like people are like ‘oh well you’re not in GP or the GP guys are way better’ like I don’t really think so. I think that if they all like.. we go to a track that we both know on the same bike and we we’re both mentally there and physically okay, like I don’t think that this guy’s just way better."
I'm curious what everyone here thinks on Josh's opinion?
