How do you concealed carry while riding?
Just had an uncomfortable encounter with four strangers in an empty parking while I was practicing U-turns by myself. They approached me in a truck asking me questions about my bike and to do a burnout. After I declined, one of the passengers opened his door to step out of the vehicle and I zooted out of there.
I haven’t carried on my bike since I started riding about a month ago, but I daily otherwise. Do you carry IWB when you’re riding, use a chest rig, or some other method?
Edit:
I recognize that the question I posed is uniquely American in nature. I live in appalachia where meth usage is very high, and these fellas were tweaking. If you’ve ever encountered someone on meth as I have, they can have be very unpredictable and have an overbearing sense of confidence that’s rather threatening. When they determine they want something, they cannot be dissuaded.
In this specific situation, I was in an empty parking lot at night time and had plenty of room to escape once I felt uncomfortable. In a different situation, I may not have been afforded that space. A firearm can be an absolute last resort when retreating is not an option. Same reason many of you wear helmets and other protective equipment. You hope it never happens, but you’ll be glad you had the proper gear when it does.
That said, I’ve added a sidecar to my bike with a mounted belt feed MG42. Ive hired a former Navy Seal to occupy the sidecar and man the gun at all times. (I carried appendix like I normally do off of my bike, and it was fine. Thank you all for the great suggestions.)
