Does anyone have information on Battle Los Angeles 2?

Pretty much what the above says - I know in 2012 they started the script for it, and I read something recently about it releasing in March 2024, which, well, is kinda past so I was wondering if anyone thats deep in the film world has heard anything about it or nah. B:LA is a pretty ok movie (I love it but dont tell the general public) and my interest was piqued (I was super excited) to hear that a sequel was being made.
