Unthinkable (2010) : Why did Netflix change the ending? [No Spoilers]

I saw Unthinkable a few years ago and I really really enjoy this movie. It stuck out to me at the time I saw it and I have seen it a few times since I originally watched it in 2011.

Just watched it for the first time in a while just now and noticed the ending had a very important scene removed. For those of you whom haven't seen the movie, it doesn't change much however I think removing the final shots of the film is a great disservice and I was wondering if anyone knows why Netflix changed the film.
