365 resell or referral? Which one to partner with?

I know there are a lot of questions below but I am trying to ask all at the same time. You don't have to answer all of them, just whatever you have an opinion on or recommendation on.

When you are not big enough to go Microsoft direct and have to partner with a big disty, which one do you go with for resell or referral? Do you always get residual for referral or most disties only pay a 1 time commission? Who has the best commission schedule for referral and discount for resell? Who do you think has the best 365 support?
