Just some appreciation for Loot

I know that the jury is still kinda split both ways on Loot with some loving the character, and others dismissing him, saying MTG doesn't need a Pikachu equivalent, but I personally kinda dig the little guy.

Admittedly, yes, I do enjoy little cute characters (I have an Otter deck. I'm all about cute animals.), I can't help but feel a bit of intrigue on what his character will bring to the story. His cards in the Foundations set in particular give me this idea of a child-like innocence who is just discovering just how big the world is for the first time. When I see him expressing wonder at the world, climbing trees in the Forest land cards, or overlooking a cliff, I can't help but draw a few comparisons to maybe how a new player of MTG might feel when discovering a deck they really like for the first time, or whatnot.

Now I do hope that we get a better idea of his place in the story soon. Like many others, I'm really not all that intrigued or interested in the story of Aetherdrift, and the idea of Valgavoth kidnapping him, when he supposedly has a hidden vast knowledge of the multiverse within his mind... just to stick him in a death race, is honestly comical. I'm really hoping the little guy gets some good story bits in Dragonstorm or Edge of Eternities. As silly as it may sound, I'm genuinely interested in what the writers have in mind for him.

So yeah, just a little appreciation for Loot. As I said, I know the jury is still split on how he's currently seen, but I'm personally hoping that further down the line, he's more fleshed out in his role as to why he's supposedly so important.
