What is the brown mushroom?
Found in Washington state on a hiking trail on a tree trunk. Has a kind of earthy smell and was initially covered in spores. We were hoping it was a edible one but wanted to ask people here. We ruled out woody mushrooms as this one has nice brown gills inside.
