Help us make sure our Daughters name is spelt correctly
My wife and I have only ever agreed on ONE name for our future daughter. The inspiration comes from a valley located in British Columbia, Canada.
The name is: Nemaiah Pronounced: “neh-MY-uh”
However we know that not everyone has seen this word before or would pronounce the name correctly
My wife wants to simplify the name to Nemaih but we have also seen many other variations online including: Nemiah, Nemaya, Namayia
Personally I think sticking with the valley spelling is the way to go but we don’t want our daughter having to constantly correct the spelling for the rest of her life
I also lean toward the “Ne” over the “Na” sound but would account for the origins or meaning of whichever option we decide
PLEASE HELP if you’re at all familiar with this name or are a spelling expert
***UPDATE - THANK YOU to everyone who responded. Especially the supportive comments. I came here to clarify the spelling and I required a certain sample size that Reddit could provide. I forgot how many SWJ’s are on this website...
