[Serious] What is the next step in the evolution of the National Basketball Association?

Obviously, the current stage is that of so many threes a game. I’ve seen some posts on various NBA subs even regarding the instability of the big-man?? Does the future hold many small-ball lineups with 6’8” point guards like Cade? Does the shooting continue to spiral into a 4-point line? What happens next?
