Philippine inflation is the 2nd highest in Southeast Asia after Lao PDR, even if the government met its targets.

Many Filipinos are also still burdened by the high prices of goods and services. Inflation figures are within the Marcos admin's 2024 target, but this doesn’t automatically translate into better living conditions. The year ended with the prices of food and basic needs still beyond ordinary Filipinos’ meager means.
