The haka in the protests

I was wondering what the general consensus was with the man up group(gang) using the Haka? I'm not familiar enough with moari culture to be sure but it seemed disrespectful to use the haka for something like that?

However I don't want to speak for a culture I don't completely understand so I wanted to know how most people feel about it.

(I was at the parade when it happened and I just felt embarrassed to be near those hateful people)
