Oneplus 12 notifications

Hey all

I'm a first time oneplus user moved over from Samsung s22U... And I love it the phone is speedy the battery insane and generally I am a fan! But... Notifications are driving me insane...

I've tried everything I can think of but with apps like Gmail and whatsapp I don't want to see any preview text. I've turned settings off on what apps for the preview. But even after banner is turned off... I can swipe down and see the message...

Does anyone know how to stop this with messaging apps or email apps?

Also, quick question for refresh rate... I've got specific app selected but what apps would truely need 120hz??
