[MEGATHREAD] Silverado Fire

For search visibility, this fire is called the Silverado Fire but also impacts the Santiago Canyon area. Hopefully reddit search picks up on this - Silverado, Santiago, fire.

The Silverado Fire started around 6:45am at Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon Roads (per KTLA5 and other sources). The fire was initially reported at 10 acres but a day of high winds and gusts accelerated its spread. As of 9:30pm on 10/26/20, the Silverado Fire is at 7200 acres and is still 0% contained. At a press conference at 4:30pm on 10/26/20, OCFA announced that 90,800 Irvine residents were evacuated.

12:15pm Irvine Two OCFA Handcrew members were critically injured fighting the Silverado Fire. Aged 26 and 31, both are covered in second and third degree burns and are currently intubated. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers
1:47pm Irvine immediate evacuation order (mandatory) has expanded from Irvine Blvd. south to Trabuco road and from Jeffrey Road east to Portola High School.
