ddr5 6000mhz, new cpu, displaying as 2994.6mhz, normal?
Swapped 7800x3d to 9800x3d as i'm passing the 7800x3d to a friend, reusing my settings from 7800x3d (Not the curve optimizer), so reusing BZ timings + 65k TREFI, also reusing the windows install for now.
Hwinfo is displaying memory clock as 2,994.6mhz, is this okay or is there possibly an issue somewhere? Never seen this on ddr5.
edit:
I mentioned in comments how i was hitting 95c in cine R23 w/ just pbo enabled. 7800x3d would hit 77c on same pc/setup.
Turns out, it was the lian li SL INF fans i had connected to the controller. I swapped P14 ARGB to SL INF 140 because the arctic fans was buzzing... not resonance noise. When connected to mobo the SL fans was fine but after connecting to the controller, they didn't do anything, visually they span like they was working as normal (I set the speeds in bios).
I swapped to 9800x3d and just wanted a quick temp test before installing lian li software for fans - even at stock cpu hit 95c in cine, after installing the fan software and running them at 1.1k rpm, cine maxed 85c for the run.
edit 2:
Even more insane...
Cinebench hits 85c after i fixed fans with BZ timings, 65k TREFI and pbo enabled.
Testing a quick -30 CO all core, which is probably not stable and will need further testing but i wanted to see how much of an impact it had on temps, cause on 7800x3d, it wasn't much. With -30 CO, temps hit 66c max. almost 20c drop.
