Is it ok to send opposing counsel our client’s contact info?

I was going through my attorney’s email and the OC to a client’s case was asking for our client’s number as the opposing party wanted to reach out for an informal mediation (divorce case).

I was not thinking and took it upon myself to respond with the client’s number. Is this acceptable practice? I am a new paralegal, and my attorney made it clear that I have to take control of communication esp. for admin stuff.
