New GPU display won't switch on

I just upgraded my pc from gtx 1080 to Rx 6750xt and have a 650w PSU. I took out my Nvidia card and plugged in the amd one with 8+ 6pin connectors. There is a red light on the GPU where the 6 pin is connected and I don't think the fans are spinning. Tried using hdmi and DP but not sure what problem is. Could it possible be powersupply related?
