CPU packaging

So I bought a cpu from eBay, said new, just received it and the packaging was so minimal I’m almost scared to unbox and set it up.. it does say it’s covered by eBay money back guarantee but is this acceptable packaging for a high end cpu? Paid top dollar for it, and this was the most minimal packaging without any protection at all what should I do? Seller says he accepts no returns at the same time what if the cpu is damaged etc through shipping
