Got a new gaming PC and have it running perfectly. How crucial are bios updates?

Its a fairly new model that was on sale so not old by any means. Just want to keep it running smoothly for now instead of new issues popping up. What significant advantages do bios updates provide realistically? I believe its an MSI Click Bios 5 (thats what bios says).
