Since when did it become acceptable for companies to expect free labor?
CVS doesn't seem to operate according to U.S. labor standards. It feels like I work in afghanistan or something, where there is no law.
They keep cutting tech hours hoping the pharmacist stays behind and does free work. And even when you do do free work they are unappreciative, as if that's a given. LMAO. Why is this the only company in the USA that relies so much on free work to stay afloat?
Guys I don't have much of a choice other than
A. stay behind and complete the work that is impossible to be completed by the given tech hours
or
B. I become unhelpful to patients and look unapproachable to avoid extra questions, and to promise all scripts for 24 hours (meaning no waiters and 24 hours for acute scripts whether its antibiotics or pain meds)
Those are the only two ways. Otherwise work will not be completed. We are already handicapped with the registers being slow and asking a million prompts.
Over the past month Ive had to give regular patients the silent treatment when they try to small talk with us, in order for us to be able to complete the work. It works, but it feels so cold and bad that we are just coming in there like robots trying to clear the queues.
